July- August 2023 I had a few pieces in a gallery themed “Spirit of the North Coast” whose prerequisite was you had to live in a county that boarders Lake Erie. (Whoop Whoop Lorain County!) The judges included the lady who runs the Ginko Gallery in Oberlin as well as the Lorain County Commissioner and his wife.
I ended up taking home TWO awards for the same photo – unheard of at Creative Space.
My mixed media photograph entitled “En Plein Speak” took home “Best of Lorain County Art” and an “Honorable Mention.” Amazing. It is a photo of a watercolor and ink painting I did while sitting at the bar out back at Speak of the Devil, a speakeasy in Lorain, Ohio.
There was even a write up on Cleveland.com about the gallery as well.
